Debbie Trudeau earned a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music after studies with Dorothy DeLay, Hyo Kang, and early music with Daniel Stepner. Formerly with the Syracuse Symphony and Glimmerglass Opera in New York, she moved to PA and joined the PCO in 2005. She has performed with the Altoona Symphony Orchestra as concertmaster and soloist, the Penn’s Woods Music Festival, the Williamsport Symphony and the Nittany Valley Symphony. In 2006 she founded the Allegria Ensemble where she enjoys the creative opportunity to stretch her viola skills, compose new arrangements, and manage the ensemble’s performances and grants. An active private teacher, she also enjoys being a teaching artist connecting music with other subjects and with outreach concerts for new listeners. In her free time she enjoys scuba diving with sharks and her family.
